We haven’t done a lot of reporting here on the blog about Michael Jackson’s passing, because it’s just too depressing…both his death, and all the fighting and trash-talking that’s come out of it. But there is one happy bit of news to report out of the whole thing. His chimpanzee, Bubbles, is alive and well and living in a sanctuary for apes, in Florida.
Bubbles is now 26, a respectable retirement age for chimpanzees, especially since he was a child star. He first came to public prominence when he was five years old. MJ took him on tour to Japan, where the funky monkey wowed the locals with his moon-walking prowess and all around charming personality. Since then he lived with the King of Pop for many years, before retiring to the sanctuary in 2006.
If you can’t get enough of chimps and chips then get playing at Silver Oak right now, and check our beat-alicious online slot machine Funky Monkey.
