In life, its important to always be prepared.  Just ask any boy scout. According to the Boy Scouts Manual, you must “BE PREPARED to die for your country if need be, so that when the moment arrives you may charge home with confidence, not caring whether you are going to be killed or not”.  This seems a little extreme for kids who spend their time earning merit badges and making smores, but I like their spirit.

When it comes to playing Blackjack, being prepared is essential as well.  If you do not have a solid strategy when you log in to play online blackjack, you could end up draining your bankroll fast.

Why 3 to 8 decks?  Surprisingly, all else being equal, perfect blackjack strategy does not change whether you are playing with 3 decks or with 8.

Blackjack Strategy Rules

For this blackjack strategy card, the rules are as follows (same as the single and double deck cheat sheets):

• The dealer stands on soft 17.
• The player can double down after a split.
• There is no surrender rule in effect.
• The dealer peeks at his cards to check for blackjack before continuing a hand (standard for American games)
